Hello Parents,
 This is Finbar again.

      Just informing you that this morning whilst listening to the french radio station one of the songs contained a swear word and it was repeated three times in a song. The reason I am telling you of this unfortunate event was that your children will be writing to the radio station called, icimusique.

The students will be writing a short letter expressing their disappointment in the French station's choice of songs. As french immersion students it is important to be able to enjoy and keep learning French while listening to the radio. However, not if the songs contain inappropriate words.

In addition, in the letters students are providing some ideas for the station to make listening to french music more appropriate for young listeners.

We will be mailing our letters tomorrow in hope of positive change at icimusique.
