“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do
everything, but still I
can do something; and
because I cannot do everything, I will not
refuse to do
something I can do.”
Dear
students:
The
quote above by Edward Everett Hale reminds us that everyone has the power to do
something, no matter how small. Every kind thought or act does make a positive
difference.
This
week we will focus on kindness of thought. We will practice thinking good
things about others, especially if they look unhappy, lonely, upset or hurt. As
I once heard or read somewhere, show kindness in your face, kindness in your
eyes and kindness in your smile. A smile- what a powerful yet often forgotten
gesture. Show kindness of thought by simply smiling at
someone. A warm smile is the universal language of kindness. Did you know that?
Let’s start speaking another language then… let it not have sound or words but
smiles all day long!
“Kind
hearts are the gardens, kind thoughts are the roots, kind words are the
flowers, kind deeds are the fruits, take care of your garden and keep out the
weeds with sunshine, kind thoughts, kind words and deeds.”
I
wish everyone a beautiful, sunny, fruity, extra smiley week!
Random acts of kindness... WATCH OUT!
