Blank Canvases is an ‘in school’ visual arts program, based out of Walnut Studios in downtown Toronto, designed for students JK to Grade 8, which uses the inspiration of both historical and contemporary Toronto artists as the basis for the art lesson. Each class, the students see images, learn the history and techniques of a specific local Toronto artist or art group. The students are then led through an art lesson inspired by the technique of this artist culminating in the creation of their own unique art piece. The lessons are designed by qualified art education specialists that meet the standards of the Ontario Ministry Curriculum.
This exhibition is located on the 20th floor.
